"Forgiveness does not change the past, but it changes the present. Forgiveness means that even though you are wounded, you choose to hurt and suffer less. Forgiveness is for you and no one else. You can forgive and rejoin a relationship or forgive and never speak to the person again."
----Dr. Fred Luskin, Author of Forgive for Good

Brian...I have never heard of NT Wright so I googled him and read about him. Interesting person. Thanks for the link to him. This is what I always find interesting...this interaction with others and learning new things. Not always are we aware of everything out there and I am never too old to learn. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteI am so in need for this quote of forgiveness. It is true...we forgive to grow ourselves in healing. Thank you, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
ReplyDeleteI've been laying low, but this is what I needed to read today. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI have been working on just this for awhile now. This is the most concisely stated, practical reason for forgiveness that I have read. It makes it easier to embark on that road, with such a clear message as this. Thanks. It's going in one of my journals to reread when bitterness tries to creep in. Glad I found your site.
