SEEN AND NOTED

At Starbuck's on Sunday this young woman was sitting, drinking her coffee outside in the sunshine and working on her laptop. I walked past her, noticed her tattoo, went inside and ordered my coffee and then came outside and asked her if I could take a photo of her tattoo. We began to chat briefly and she told me she looks in the mirror every day and remembers to read this and embrace it. What an incredible way to live your life. And the fact that she thinks about these words every day...that makes all the difference. The words are not just there for show, nor did she have them permanently placed on her back without thinking about them and possibly having them "go out of style" when she turns 80 and regret what she put there. These words can carry her through the rest of her life. One day at a time, one dream at a time. No time wasted.

  1. I can't read the last part.
Dream as if you'll live forever...??? Can you tell us what it says please.
It's pretty, with the "peace" symbol.
I do believe that we should have big dreams and "live one day at a time, one dream at a time."

  3. FL---It says: "Dream as if you'll live forever, Live as if you'll die today." It's important to live each day as though it is your last, don't you think? No regrets for what you didn't say, didn't do, didn't dream about and see come to fruition. Life can really only be lived "right now".
