Brian...the firetruck was completely restored by Bill. It is a 1937 Studebaker and was a frame-down restoration. After we left the memorial, Bill said that the Studebaker would be his legacy when he dies. Probably true since he spent so many years working on it. It was a sad day, to be sure. Hard to lose a firefighter. "Jack" Anderson was well-loved and instrumental in doing so much for the Georgetown Fire Department. He was a retired Chief and involved in many, many organizations in the community.
the pic of the fire truck made me think of the passing of my own grandfather...
