MAGPIE TALES

I AM...

Luminous, lonely, clinging by a thread.
Lost and confused.
I'm yellow, I'm red.

Everything about me
is striving to live.

Tossed by the wind
I am happy to give
All that I can.

Finding a spot
to nourish, protect,
I land at your feet, your roots I detect.
Will you notice? Will you borrow
the lifeblood from me?
Will you relinquish, make solemn
Our souls now set free?

Listen...you can barely hear me call.

Look...you can hardly see me fall.

Feel...you can almost...

you

can

almost...

see me.

  3. I love the notion of autumn trying to hang on, but is so fleeting. Wonderful metaphors here, Teri. Nice.
