MAGPIE TALES

Is that fear I see in that eye?
I'm fond of red
Just not MY red
blood.
I hold court with my
ladies.
The chorus begins
slowly.
They call me
Gregory Peck.
Because I do.
The Chorus Girls
sing
while I wait patiently
for
the
ax
to
fall.

  5. Oh my gosh! A poem about chickens and death. There is something foreboding about this one and I do see the fear in it's eyes. Kind of an amazing photo with the dead daddy long legs hanging around the edges.
    Really interesting photo and poem.
