JUST PEACHIE

JUST WISHING YOU A PEACH OF A DAY

FRESH PEACHES FROM OUR TREE---YUM!

AND OF COURSE, NO MENTION OF PEACHES WOULD BE COMPLETE WITHOUT REMEMBERING MY GOOD FRIEND, LELA. SHE WAS KNOWN AS "PEACHIE" TO MANY (HOW SHE GOT THAT NAME IS ANOTHER STORY NOT MANY ARE PRIVY TO!).
SHE SENT ME THIS CARD ONE YEAR FOR MY BIRTHDAY. THE SENTIMENT SAYS:
"THINK OF YOU OFTEN, HOPE WE CAN GET TOGETHER SOMETIME SOON. HAVE A GREAT BIRTHDAY. L."

AH---REMEMBERING A GOOD FRIEND AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR WHEN THE PEACHES ARE FRESH AND JUICY, IS JUST "PEACHIE". LOVE AND MISS YOU! SHE WAS THE BEST FRIEND A PERSON COULD HAVE. ALWAYS HONEST, ALWAYS FAITHFUL, ALWAYS TRUTHFUL, ALWAYS GENEROUS. AND A DARN GOOD COOK! SHE MADE A HUGE IMPRESSION ON MY LIFE AND WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR ME, EVEN WHEN I WAS SAD OR DEPRESSED. SHE ALWAYS CAME THROUGH FOR ME. MY LIFE IS SO ENRICHED FOR HAVING KNOWN HER.

  3. Mmmm, lovely juicy peaches. We always came home with a couple of baskets full from uncle's orchard and Mum also made a delicious Peach Bubble Cobbler!

Lasting loving memories of a dear friend.

  5. aw Teri, sweet post. Thank you for all your wonderful comments on my blog. I'm sorry I was so crazed and didn't get back to you. I only had the internet in my room that one day. It cost money and I have none.
Sorry I missed you. We flew out of Reno anyhow, super early!
    Love you!!!!
