MAGPIE TALES TUESDAY

Heavy amulet worn
close to my throat.
Reminds me
with touch
that:
One
should
be
Kind
and
Good.
Enough.

  2. A wonderful little poem -- weighted enough as a reminder to do good daily. Like the string on the finger as a reminder to remember something..
    Really fine connection there.

Also. . . loved the "Money, Money, Money" blog post, somewhere along the road we lost control and gave our power away for those goods and services in exchange for 'paper money' Liked the pictures too, added value to the story.

  3. It would be a reminder, alright, if worn around the neck. It's heavy!

  4. Willow--Yes, that is the point. So heavy it reminds me to always remember to be kind and good. The photo need not be literal either, right? I enjoy thinking about what the photo sparks in me and if I really couldn't hang a 1 kilogram weight around my neck, then I might carve these letters into a silver piece and keep it close to my throat...the area where my voice comes from, which can be the bane of my existence sometimes, you know what I mean? I am honest to a fault and speak my mind which has gotten me into trouble many times throughout my life. I NEED THIS REMINDER!!! Thanks!

  6. Love this piece. Reminded me of a certain albatross? The last bit struck me particularly:

    Good.
    Enough.

Going back and forth on who defines the "good. enough." Is that the burden?

  7. Almost a religious experience; the penitent man needing the physical prompt.
